Software Developer - Chico

Auctiva is looking for multiple Software Developers ranging from mid to senior level. Successful candidates should be highly motivated, have a lot of initiative and the desire to work on database driven web applications and services using the latest development technologies and tools.

You will be responsible for designing and developing significant new functionality as well as helping to maintain the existing websites and windows services. You will work with other engineers, support staff and other areas of the company in our fast paced development environment.

Requirements:

• Web application development experience
• Experience with ASP.Net
• 1+ yrs OO programming & design, including experience with C# or C++
• Development experience with MS Windows
• Skilled in the software development life cycle, relational database design and SQL Server 2005 programming using stored procedures
• Demonstrate effective communication and organizational skills and the ability to work in a team environment
• BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent work experience 
• Experience providing web services and web APIs created in C# using WCF desired

Web Developer - Chico

Auctiva is looking for a web designer with strong front end development experience to work on our suite of eCommerce websites.  You will help plan and maintain the site design to meet our goals, emphasize our branding and optimize the site for performance and SEO.  You will also help us identify and evaluate improvement options and introduce new technologies where appropriate.

 

Tasks include unifying web pages developed by our development team and creating new web pages for one or more of our high-traffic consumer sites.  You will participate throughout the development life-cycle to ensure that original design concepts are fully realized.

Requirements:

• 3 years web related experience
• Experience in the following: XHTML, CSS, JavaScript, XML
• Proficient in one or more Javascript libraries (jQuery, MooTools, YUI, Ext JS, Prototype, etc.)
• Strong understanding of semantic markup, CSS presentation, unobtrusive scripting, web-standards and cross-browser issues
• Good understanding of User Interface design principles
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet set deadlines
• Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects concurrently
• Work well as part of an interdisciplinary team

Desired Skills:

• Familiarity with ASP.NET/C#, Visual Studio a plus
